Phew...another semester down!

Where to start. I finished my last two finals today; cell biology and anatomy & physiology II. I don't know how I did it with only 4 hours of sleep but I did it. This was my toughest semester and I know this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Since my last blog about the exciting opportunity to shadow an internist (an MD of internal medicine) I have achieved another personal goal. I completed my 3rd year of Jumpstart (AmeriCorps), a nonprofit early education program. I served a total of 1325 community service hours which is shared between serving 3 classrooms and over 60 preschoolers. Sad to depart from such a great program but it is time to gain clinical hours!
Now back to my shadowing experience. This week will make my 5th week with Dr.**** and she has taught me so much already. I have seen over 20 patients who were awesome and 1 actually remembers me :D so that was a plus. I look forward to every Friday when I walk down the halls of the Hospital while imagining wearing my white coat and stethoscope around my neck while talking to my fellow cohorts. JUST a few more years and my imagination will become a reality.

Until next time...see ya.
